Thirsting for Fountains in the Op-Ed

I was one of 8 cub reporters for the Times Op-Ed page last month, hanging around a drinking fountain in a park and waiting for someone to use it. The first time I went out the fountains hadn’t been turned on yet, the second time it was raining (as it was most of June and July). Finally, success, though only 9 visitors, tying with Salt Lake for lowest guests.
